Education
At The Pocket Early Education and Care, we believe children learn best through play. Our play-based learning approach nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence by giving children the freedom to explore, imagine, and discover at their own pace. Through thoughtfully designed environments and guided experiences, our educators support each child’s individual interests while building essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and social development.
We recognise that play is a powerful tool for learning, allowing children to make sense of the world around them in a way that is meaningful and engaging. By incorporating hands-on activities, open-ended materials, and real-life experiences, we encourage children to ask questions, take risks, and develop resilience. Our educators intentionally scaffold learning by observing, listening, and extending children’s ideas, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.
We also place a strong emphasis on creating a warm, inclusive environment where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Through collaborative play, children learn to build friendships, develop empathy, and gain a strong sense of belonging within our community. The Pocket Early Education and Care is a long day care centre, open to care for your child 5 days per week, 52 weeks per year to support you and your family. We close for public holidays only, so that we can provide your children with a nurturing home away from home.
