Situated in leafy and historic Toowong in one of Brisbane’s most iconic character homes, The Arlington offers an Early Childhood Experience like no other. At the heart of the Centre is a highly experienced leadership team, bringing strong backgrounds in early childhood teaching overseas and in Australia and counselling majoring in child development. Their expertise shapes a warm, reflective and responsive culture where children, families and educators are not only supported and valued but upskilled in child development knowledge. We place wellbeing, child development and meaningful relationships at the forefront of everything we do.
Close to the river and with city views, our centre thoughtfully blends old and new; interweaving historic elements with modern state of the art facilities and a huge natural playscape, something that is unique to inner city living.
Education
Reggio Emilia Approach
Our educational approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which aligns closely with Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and is based on social constructivist theory. This means children learn best through relationships, hands on experiences and meaningful interactions with others. Reggio Emilia supports inquiry based learning, where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas and think critically – key skills for the 21st century such as problem solving, communication, creativity and collaboration.

that will open to care for your child 5 days per week, 52 weeks per year to support families. We close for public holidays only.
