About
Situated in leafy and historic Toowong in one of Brisbane’s most iconic character homes, The Arlington promises to be an amazing education experience for children, families and staff like no other.
Close to the river and with city views, we are developing a centre with an intricate blend of old and new; interweaving historic elements with modern state of the art facilities and a huge natural playscape.

Education
Reggio Emilia Approach
This child-centred early educational philosophy is based on the theory that children are capable of becoming powerful and logically thinking individuals, with the ability and desire to construct their own knowledge.
Some of the guiding principles that differentiate Reggio Emilia’s education from similar child-centred methods include:
- Children are enabled and supported to construct their own learning
- Centres and staff have an active focus on collaborating and communicating with their community
- Children are encouraged to think critically and express their thoughts
- The enriching and supportive educators are children’s partners, nurturers and guides, who help them explore their interests through projects
- Learning progress & processes are documented frequently to ensure continued learning
Our People
The Arlington’s team of dedicated early education professionals is growing with a strong focus on encouraging a joy of learning in children.
